Nord-Ouest : Vested List
They have stood firm in the face of adversity for love of country and faithfulness to a calling for the most part. The lone political bureau female member for the North West Region, Regina Mundi has invested a lot in canvassing for support for the CPDM in Mezam which hitherto was an SDF stronghold. If CPDM is today able to manage the Bamenda I council, the success story cannot be told without her efforts. She is one of the two political bureau members for the region and she is far from being a green horn. She has stood for the party undeterred in the most turbulent moments of the country’s history.
Nji Fidelis Muh- Zia for his part is a long time serving Member of Parliament from Menchum North, who has gone through thick and thin for the CPDM. He has been MP more than a decade and was one of the four questors at the National Assembly. Nji Fidelis is a time tested militant of the party who joined and imposed the party at a time when militating for the CPDM was tantamount to a taboo in the North West region. He came to the Assembly for his first mandate in 2002. In his second mandate which lasted from 2007 to 2013, the CPDM won all Parliamentary seats in Menchum as well as all the council seats giving 100 per cent to the CPDM in the division. He is presently the divisional coordinator for Menchum. His coming back is not a surprise to those who have been following his activities in Menchum and beyond.
Dingha Ignatius Bayin comes back as a man who in his first legislature showed a mastery of the grass root. This thanks to his position as Section President and coupled with the fact that he had worked with the late Fon Doh of Balikumbat who was a dire heart CPDM militant and a pioneer CPDM MP for the North West. Dingha won the post of Section President in a hotly contested pool.
From Bui division, Emma Lafon’s coming back is testimony of her steadfastness and loyalty to the CPDM.
Wanlo Chiamua John is a former mayor from Fonfuka in Boyo Division. He has maintained Bum as a bastion of the CPDM notwithstanding the fact that the Division is more of SDF. He like the others is coming up for the second time and this is thanks to his devotedness. In Momo division Atanga Charles Musi has served as a councilor. He has also worked closely with the political elite of the division and is endowed with experience which is one of the requirements for the candidates from the Secretary General. Chebonkeng Martina Wepchu is another female from the North West whose ability to rally people as well as her firm commitment to the CPDM has given her a place as one of the flag bearers for the elections in the region.
